Generations of Faith Mission Statement
Generations of Faith is our intergenerational parish religious education program that empowers our community to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the understanding of our Catholic faith and involvement in community life and service.

Why Generations of Faith? |
Generations of Faith is our parish’s approach not only to the religious education of children but the lifelong faith formation of all of our parishioners. The goal of parish life is simple: to create and nurture disciples of Jesus Christ. Generations of Faith is one of the primary ways SS. Edward & Lucy parish seeks to fulfill this goal. The life of a disciple includes prayer, knowledge of the faith, and being an active member of a Catholic community. Through Generations of Faith, our parish seeks to create disciples out of those who have not yet committed to living their life for Jesus Christ and to help those who have made this commitment nurture their relationship with Jesus Christ. A disciple is never truly “done” learning and growing—they can always get closer to Jesus Christ and grow deeper in their faith.

Everyone is welcome to attend any Generations of Faith session! From parents with small children to retired individuals, we believe that everyone can receive something from a Generations of Faith session. Join us at our next session!

We believe that Generations of Faith works better than a “traditional” weekly religious education program. Why? It brings the whole parish together and provides examples to our students about what a faithful disciple looks like. It also empowers families to share, celebrate and live the Catholic faith at home and in the world. This provides students with a consistent Catholic education—showing kids how to be Catholic at Church, at school, at home and in their communities.
